Grace Ward- the jeweler

Since Brown Eyed Studio is just getting off the ground, I wanted to go ahead and introduce myself to y’all. Ciao! Howdy! And hi! My name is Grace. I’m a lover of disco, patchwork skirts, adidas sambas, rocket pops, cerulean blue, and vintage charms. I sketch designs for new pieces on napkins, receipts, rarely a sketchbook, and even the back of my own hand if I have a good enough pen. I aspire to create everyday. To travel and learn new things. I am inspired by stories, and I find them everywhere. I think we need more wonder in our lives. So lets get laughin’ and a runnin’ *hey hey*

how I got into jewelry

High School

I first discovered a love for jewelry in high school in a two-year jewelry program. With a homemade solder station, tiny enamel kiln, and boxes of sheet metal, we had all the tools available to design to my heart's delight (I’d even get passes to come back during all my free periods).

College

I rediscovered my passion for jewelry at the University of Georgia. I took an 8am studio class, and would wake up each day with groggy eyes and a thermos full of coffee, itching to make designs I’d dreamed up the night before. It was an incredible environment.

Career

I LOVE IT HERE. more words to come, but know this spot is AMAZING.
