To maintain the beauty and integrity of your ring, I recommend treating it with care. Tourmalines are a more delicate stone than diamonds, rubies, or sapphires. This ring is meant to be worn and cherished, but be sure to remove it before activities that would put stress on the piece (lifting at the gym, housework with chemicals, generally getting your hands down and dirty). If the stone ever looks like it needs a sparkle, you can give the piece a bath in warm dish soap.
